Makita Regastrations

 

Every Makita product is thoroughly inspected before they leave the factory and can be guaranteed to be free of defects, in both workmanship and materials, for a period of one year beginning the date of the products original purchase.

 

Should the product develop any faults during its first year of use, due to defective workmanship or materials, it can be packaged (complete) and freight prepaid to either an approved Authorised Service Agent or to Makita (UK) Ltd in Milton Keynes.

 

Subject to inspection, the product will be repaired free of charge.

This guarantee does not apply where:

Repairs have been made or attempted by others.
Repairs are required because of normal wear and tear.
The tool has been abused, misused or improperly maintained.
Alterations have been made to the tool.
Non-genuine or recommended parts or accessories are fitted to the tool(s).
All of our clothing range is excluded from the 3 year warranty.

 

This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights

The warranty period of your Makita tool may be extended to an additional 2 years subject to the following conditions:

Makita Tools that are CE marked and (with the exceptions of Batteries, Battery Chargers, Accessories, Petrol Powered Products, Production Tools and Air Tools and Compressors) purchased on or after 1st July 2012 and
The tool is registered by the end user within 30 days of purchase by the following means:
Online registration using the web address (the tool serial number will be required), www.makitauk.com and follow the links to 3 year warranty.

We offer this extended guarantee for these products in accordance with the following conditions:

Registered end users showing to Makita's reasonable satisfaction that the defect or damage is solely attributable to Makita's defective materials or workmanship in the Products and not:

 

(a) Wear or tear from normal use;

(b) Any servicing by anyone after delivery other than by anyone authorised by Makita;

(c) The Product(s) having been misused or subjected to neglect, improper or inadequate care carelessness (including being dropped), or abnormal usage conditions;

(d) The Product(s) having been involved in any accident or attempt at repair, alteration, change or modification or inspection within the Product itself except by or on behalf of Makita or as approved by Makita or in accordance with Makita’s instructions;

(e) The Product(s) having been used other than in accordance with good practice and Makita’s instructions or recommendations; or

(f) The use of non-genuine spare parts or accessories fitted to the Product(s)

 

Makita Tools used for Hire fleets, authorised service agreements or other business to business contracts are not covered by these terms and conditions.

The 3 year registration certificate and the original receipt of purchase will be necessary to validate any warranty claim.

 

Any warranty claim must be logged within the warranty period. This involves sending the tool complete packaged to a local dealer or Authorised Service agent with the 3 year certificate and the original sales receipt. Dewalt Power Warranty

 

If your Dewalt product becomes defective due to faulty materials or workmanship within 12 months from the date of purchase, Dewalt may replace all defective parts free of charge, or at our discretion, replace the unit free of charge.

 

Call 01753 567055 and the Dewalt Service Centre will arrange the best course of action to get your issue rectified. Normally you will be asked to take the faulty item to your nearest Dewalt Agent but if you are further than 10 miles away from an agent they will arrange to have your item collected by carrier. Warranty on Dewalt products is for 1 year (3 Years if registered online within 28 days of purchase). The warranty is valid anywhere in Europe but not beyond. There are Service Agents in all major European countries to carry out repairs. Please Note, you will require to produce your Toolstop invoice as proof of purchase.

Dewalt Power Tools 3 Year Guarantee

 

You can extend your standard warranty from 1 year to 3 years by registering your product at www.DEWALT.eu/3 within 4 weeks of purchase. To register, you will need your:

Kits comprising a range of tools are excluded from registration. The individual tools from kits must be registered seperately.

DEWALT Regastration

 

Bosch Professional Warranty Information

 

Bosch Professional Power Tools come with a 1 year warranty as standard but if you register the tool online within 28 days you'll get an extra 2 years warranty free. This offer applies to all professional power tools and measuring tools as well as all associated rechargeable batteries from Bosch. High-frequency tools, industrial cordless screwdrivers, pneumatic tools and corresponding accessories are excluded. Bosch DIY Power Tools and Bosch Garden Power Tools come with a 2 year warranty as standard. Please Note, you will require to produce your Toolstop invoice as proof of purchase. The Bosch guarantee applies to tools that are bought and used in Europe.

Bosch Home & Garden Warranty Information

 

The standard guarantee on Bosch DIY and garden tools is 2 years from the date of purchase. Customers are also given a 3 month guarantee on repair work carried out by the Bosch Service Centre or any authorised service agent. Consumers can claim an additional years warranty simply by registering their tool with MyBosch within 4 weeks of purchase. You will need to produce proof of purchase (Toolstop invoice). 

 

There is no warranty period for Bosch accessories

HIKOKI Hi5 WARRANTY:

 

Introducing the new HiKOKI Power Tools extended 5 year warranty. The HiKOKI Hi5 Warranty scheme covers cordless brushless tools in the 18V and 36V (Multi Volt) ranges. You can register your cordless brushless power tools for an extra 2 years over the automatic 3 years from the Heavy Duty Warranty. Batteries 5.0AH and above are covered, including Multi Volt batteries. Online registration is required within 4 weeks of purchase via the HiKOKI Power Tools (UK) Ltd website. HIKOKI HEAVY DUTY WARRANTY:

 

The HiKOKI Heavy Duty 3 year warranty scheme covers all corded tools, brushed cordless tools and non brushless cordless tools including torches, radios etc. as well as batteries under 18V and 12V Peak brushless power tools. Cordless gas nailers and pneumatic nailers are not eligible for the extended 3 year warranty but are instead covered by the standard 12 month warranty. IF YOU HAVE AN EXISTING WARRANTY:

 

Any warranty registrations that were entered on the Hitachi Power Tools site have been archived in accordance with GDPR. You have the right to access your data or have your data deleted at any time. If you would like a copy of your warranty data, please email [email protected].

 

WHAT DOES THE EXTENDED WARRANTY COVER?

 

This scheme is only available to new tools purchased, used and collected in the UK.

We undertake to replace or repair any part found to be defective in material or workmanship, within 60 months of delivery to the original purchaser.

 

WHAT IS NOT COVERED?

 

All corded tools, brushed cordless tools and non-brushless cordless tools including torches, radios etc. are not eligible but are automatically covered under the 3 year heavy duty warranty. Batteries under 18V and 12V Peak brushless power tools are not eligible for the extended warranty but are automatically covered under the 3 year heavy duty warranty.

Cordless gas nailers and pneumatic nailers are not eligible for the extended warranty. They are covered by the standard 12 month warranty.

Fleet tools are not eligible for the extended warranty. These are covered by a 3 month warranty against manufacturing defects.

Defects arising from neglect, misuse, accident or general wear and tear except as provided by statute are not eligible for cover under the extended warranty.
